Our Office at Fort Monmouth
We believe in innovation while honoring the past. Fortunately, we came across an opportunity that lets us do both. When we were looking for our new office, we heard about a unique opportunity. With this in mind, we’re happy to announce that Colossus Media Group is one of the latest companies to have an office at Fort Monmouth.
History
Fort Monmouth‘s history begins in 1917. The Signal Corps established a training facility in Little Silver. However, in 1925 they changed the name to Fort Monmouth to honor the soldiers who died in the battle of Monmouth Court House. Later, the Electronics Command managed signal research, development, and logistics support here. Unfortunately, in 2005, the Base Realignment and Closure Commission ordered the relocation of the Electronics Command, now known as Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM). Eventually, the CECOM flag was cased at Fort Monmouth in September, 2010; and uncased in October, 2010, at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland. This marked the end of military use at Fort Monmouth.
Revitalization
Currently, the Fort Monmouth Economic Revitalization Authority (FMERA) is behind Fort Monmouth’s redevelopment. Specifically, FMERA focuses on guiding the investment, growth, and integration of Fort Monmouth and the surrounding communities. In fact, one of the big initiatives under FMERA is the Fort Monmouth Reuse and Redevelopment Plan. This plan utilizes Fort Monmouth to promote employment, commerce, and economic development. Currently, three communities in Monmouth County are involved with it. They are:
- Tinton Falls
- Eatontown
- Oceanport
10 Year Plan
Actually, a lot of FMERA’s 10 year plan has already been completed. For instance, this includes new corporate headquarters (AASKI Technology, Commvault, and TetherView), Monmouth County’s recreation center, Acute Care’s medical facility, and Trinity Hall. In fact, our office at Fort Monmouth is located in Trinity Hall. Additionally, there are other major projects still in the works. They include:
- Mixed-Use Town Center
- Hotel/Conference Center
- Golf Course
- Residential Community
- Retail
- Recreation Complex
- Historic District
- Train to Manhattan
Thankfully, we found the opportunity to have our office at Fort Monmouth. It aligns with our goal to be an innovative digital marketing agency in NJ, while honoring the state’s history.
